Grand Community News welcomes thoughtful pitches about the relationships, habits and shared practices that shape community life. We look for a clear question, a distinct angle and a useful explanation rather than a broad celebration of community.

What to propose

Pitch an evergreen subject about belonging, mutual aid, conversation, generations or group life. A strong proposal identifies what readers will understand by the end, why the subject is worth examining and how it differs from familiar general advice. We welcome careful comparisons, explainers, histories and practical approaches that do not depend on invented examples.

A useful pitch

Include a working title, a short account of the central idea, the intended reader and the points you would cover. Say what material or sources would support the piece, and disclose any relevant interests. Original proposals are preferred; do not send a finished article unless invited.
